Mapping Australia

     This activity can be used after students have completed the Australian Borders exercise (perhaps on the second day of your relief period) or as an independent activity.



     The activity sheet has a list of Australian place names. Students must use their Atlas to locate the places and using reference points along the coastline (skill taught in the Australian Borders exercise), cut the name from the sheet and glue it on their map.
     The dot beside the place name should be on the location of the town.
